The Christian writing field is experiencing rapid growth, working tirelessly to bring revival to a generation through writing. Many Christian writers are passionate about spreading the message of Christ through creative works. Additionally, numerous Christian writers possess the spiritual capacity and vision to bring Christian creative works into the limelight.

However, how many Christian writers possess the necessary writing skills? How many have developed their writing expertise to a reasonable level?

To bring Christian writing into the limelight, especially in a generation where Christian written works are often underestimated, it is essential to build capacity in both skills and spiritual growth. Understanding the dynamics of their mission and vision as Christian writers is also crucial.

Christian writing is an assignment, a skill, and a ministry.  Christian writers are called to be transformational leaders, bringing transformation to a generation through their writing.

Read my story

As an early reader, I also grew to become an early writer. I started writing at a young age, even before becoming a teenager. However, my issues began when I started reading erotic books that polluted my mind.

As a quiet, intelligent, and avid reader, I was reading illicit content that contaminated my mind. But everything changed when I encountered Christian books. They began to transform my mind. The LORD delivered me from addictions to erotic books as I began to walk with Him.

Long before the Lord delivered me from addiction to erotic works, I had already started growing in intimacy with Him through Christian literature. I even got baptised in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of praying in tongues, while reading "The Gifts of the Holy Spirit" by Rev. Kenneth Hagin.

A burden then weighed on my mind: if reading Christian books could win my soul for Christ and lead me to baptism in the Holy Spirit, why couldn't I use my writing skills for kingdom advancement?

It began to occur to me, that I could write books that can win souls and provide spiritual illumination to people in the world. I could write the mind of God over the areas of life he wants me to. I could write better edifying literature for people to read than the illicit ones.

This realization led me to attend a Christian writers' online conference. The burden grew stronger in my heart, and I began praying about it more. The Lord then gave me a vision: bringing Christian creative works into the limelight; by preaching Christ through creative writing and helping other creatives discover this purpose.

This vision encompasses various subsidiaries, including the TCLN Community and Academy.  Initially, transitioning to Christian writing was challenging, as I had built an audience for my African literature works. But the Lord guided me through.

As a writer that want to transition into Christian writing from the secular field, It might not be easy at first, but with the right guidance, you'll be good.

Are you a Christian writer seeking to achieve greater works through your writing?Do you want to enhance your skills as a writer? Are you a former contemporary writer looking to transition to Christian writing? Are you a minister wanting to share the gospel through writing?Have you struggled to define your mission and vision statement as a Christian writer? YOU SHOULD JOIN TCLN WRITING ACADEMY.
